Giri's consistent performance throughout the tournament included a strategic draw against GM Nodirbek Abdusattorov in Round 7, allowing him to maintain a lead over his closest competitors. This victory not only earned him the winner's trophy, a medal, and a $15,000 prize but also boosted his live rating to 2748.3, placing him at World No. 12.
